You will be introduced to downtown Saint-Petersburg: Nevsky Prospekt, Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Kazan Cathedral, Palace Square, the Hermitage, Admiralty and etc. The Spit of the Vasilievsky Island will open an incredible view of the city in front of You. And, of course, our guide will show You Peter-and-Paul Fortress and Field of Mars.
On the way You will be offered a few stops for photographing. You will visit St. Isaac’s Cathedral. The dome of the Cathedral dominates the skyline of St. Petersburg and its gilded cupola can be seen glistening from all over the city. You can climb up the 300 or so steps to the observation walkway at the base of the cathedral’s dome and enjoy the breathtaking views over the city.
Also You will visit Church of the Savior on the blood, it commemorates the tragic event of 1 March 1881 when a terrorist threw a bomb and mortally wounded the Tsar, Alexander II. This cathedral was erected on the place of assassination by architect Parland in Neo-Russian style, which imitates Russian architecture in the second half of the nineteenth century.
