Our guide with a driver will pick You up from the place of your accommodation, and bring You back after the excursion ends.
Excursion consists of three parts: rout excursion during the way along the Peterhof’s highway; showing around Big Palace rooms; walking tour along the architectural monuments of Lower Garden and visit to the Upper Garden.
During the route excursion You will learn about the history of the architecture ensemble and monuments of palace-and-park ensemble, such as ancient estate “Alexandrino”, “Novoznamenka”, “Troitse-Sergieva Pustin”, Konstantinovskiy Palace in Strelna and others.
Upon arrival in Petrodvorets the excursion begins with visit to the Big Palace: majestic and monumental 3 storeyed building with galleries, amazes with it’s elegance. Halls of the palace are notable for its extraordinary beauty, among them Dancing Hall, Chesmensky Hall, Western and Eastern Chinese rooms and Partridge’s Hall are especially interesting.
Excursion continues with visit to the Lower and the Upper Gardens. Both parks have strictly symmetrical layout and are decorated with typical for regular gardens decorative elements . In the Low park You will admire by the fountains of the different sizes and forms. The guide will introduce You to the history of Monplaisir Palace; Catherines' block; Hermitage pavilion, which was built in Peter the Great ' epoch; Marli palace and cascade "Golden mountain".
